Walenty Wieczorek: (South Bend Tribune 7/21/1952)

Walenty Wierczorek, 815 South Pulaski street, died at 6:45 a.m. today in his home after a day’s illness. He was born in Bryan, O., Dec. 8, 1884, and came here from that city 60 years ago. He was married to Miss Mary Jedrzeweski in St. Hedwige’s church. She died Dec. 14, 1948. He retired 14 years ago as an employe of the Oliver corporation. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Frances Chlebek, Mrs. Mary Stachurski, Mrs. Verna Klemczewski, Mrs. Helen Tomkins, Mrs. Margaret Puczynski and Mrs. Stella Arnold; three sons, Peter, Frank and Clem, two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Pietrczek and Mrs. Frances Sieradski, and two brothers, John and Anthony, all of South Bend; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday in his home. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Casimir’s Catholic church with Rev. Casimir J. Witucki C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Polish cemetery.
