Estol White

August 27, 1924 – April 3, 1998

 

Estol White, 73, of East Mishawaka Avenue, Mishawaka, passed away at 1:45pm in the emergency room at St Joseph’s Medical Center, South Bend.

 

He was born on August 27, 1924, in Waterloo AL, to Louis & Mary (Geans) White, who preceded him in death.  Mr. White was also preceded in death by one sister, one brother and one granddaughter.

 

On May 18, 1946, in Waterloo, he married Marjorie White, who he leaves to cherish his memory.

 

He is also survived by a daughter, Sandra (Richard) Squint of Mishawaka; three sons, Alfred L. White and Kevin E. White, both of Mishawaka, and Charles A. (Debra) White of Wakarusa IN; three brothers, Joe L. White and David J. White, both of Mishawaka, and Curtis N. White of Waterloo; two sisters, Virginia Atkinson of Waterloo and Faye Heavener of Little Rock AR; seven grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; four great grandchildren; and by one step-great-granddaughter

 

Mr. White was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and son.  He was employed for 14 years at the former Brodbeck Trucking Company and Truckers Freightline and the last 37 years as the owner of White’s Sunoco and served in the US Army during World War II.

 

Friends may call in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, from 3 to 6pm today.

 

Services will be held at 11am on Monday at the funeral home.  Rev. Robert L. Geans will be conducting services.  Entombment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Diabetes Association of St Joseph County
