Harold James Weston

Harold James Weston, 80, of West 4th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, following an illness. He was born on Sept. 4, 1918, in Waterloo, Ala. He retired from Ball Band in 1979 after 37 years of service. At the time of his death he was the owner of "My Friends Place," a bar in Mishawaka. He was a member of Club 15 and the Mishawaka Eagles #2083. He is survived by his sons, James Weston of Osceola, Ind., Jerry Weston of Granger, Ind., and Tommy Weston of South Bend, Ind.; his daughter, JoAnn Gross of Edwardsburg, Mich.; his stepson, Ron Lusk of Osceola; a stepdaughter, Carol O'Keefe of Elkhart, Ind.; his brothers, Dallas Weston and Gene Weston, both of Osceola; his sisters, Sadie DeWitt of Mishawaka, Lucy Shenefield and Ladymaude Barrier, both of Waterloo, Ala.; and by 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jack Weston; and by a brother, James.

 

Services for Mr. Weston will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
