Louis Wesszo

Louis S. Wesszo, 75, of South Bend, passed away at 9:37 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2002 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Mr. Wesszo retired in 1987 from the Wheelhorse Corporation after 21 years of service. Mr. Wesszo was born on March 17, 1927 in South Bend to Louis Wesszo and Theresa Toth. His parents and 1 - brother Joseph who died Oct. 16, 2001 preceded him.

On July 11, 1970 Louis married Doris "June" Hatfield - Simon at Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church in South Bend. She survives. Also surviving are 4 - daughters Rose Marie Simon of Grovertown, IN., Bonnie Jo Simon of Grovertown, IN., Susan Simon of Walkerton, IN., Carolyn (Warren) Bunton of Grovertown, IN., 2 - sons James (Mary) Simon of Lawrence, MI., and Thomas (Sue) Simon of Plymouth, IN., 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Mr. Wesszo has 1-brother Julius (Helen) Wesszo of South Bend who survives along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2002 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association
