Anna E. Werbrouck, 82, of West 12th Street, Mishawaka, passed away in her home on the evening of Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005. Anna was born on March 28, 1923, in Lier, Belgium, to Edmond and Maria (Kulemons) Wuyts. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by a brother, Carol Werbrouck.

 

Surviving Anna are a daughter, Kristie Ann (Joe) Klaybor of Vandalia, MI; three sisters, Mary Fiole, Julie Wuyts and Yvonne Gilbert; and two brothers, Marcel and Joseph Wuyts, all from Belgium.

 

She moved to the Michiana area in 1946, coming from Belgium. Anna was a shoemaker for Uniroyal for 11 years before retiring in 1955. She was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Her greatest joys in life were her visits with her daughter, spending time with her nieces and nephews, and babysitting her great-niece and nephew. Her daily pleasure was the constant companionship she shared with her pets, especially Sadie.

 

Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 p.m. today, Oct. 30, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, in the funeral home, with Rev. Barry England of St. Bavo Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Bavo Catholic Church or to the Humane Society.
