John H. Wentzel, 93, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, in his residence, on Lincoln Way East, Mishawaka. John was born in Pleasant Mount, Pa., on Nov. 7, 1903, to the late Christopher and Minnie Wentzel. John moved here in 1980 from New York .John married Grace Edna Kennedy in Montrose, Pa. on Oct. 21, 1927. She died March 18, 1966.
John is survived by Edwin and Marion Kinne of Mishawaka, a granddaughter, Jeanette Norton of South Bend; a grandson, John Kinne of Plymouth; a great-granddaughter, Bonnie Bacsa of South Bend; and a great-grandson, Brandon Kinne of South Bend. John retired Dec. 31, 1966, from I.B.M. of Endicott, N.Y., after 36 years of service.
Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Rev. David Detrick will officiate. Burial will take place Wednesday, Aug. 13, in Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
