SOUTH BEND - Services for Wanda Welch, 49, of Chicago, formerly of South Bend, who died Monday in Christ Hospital, Oaklawn, Ill., after an automobile accident on the Chicago Skyway, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Cage Memorial Chapel, Chicago. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Wood National Cemetery, Milwaukee. Friends may call one hour before services Saturday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Wanda Welch Scholarship Fund, in care of April Welch, 1612 Farwell St., Unit C, Chicago, IL 60626.

 

Mrs. Welch was a self-employed event planner in Chicago. She was born July 23, 1946, in South Bend. She is survived by a daughter, April Welch of Chicago; a son, Craig of Chicago; and three brothers, Craig of Moreno Valley, Calif., David of Chicago and Horatio of Kalamazoo.

 

She was a graduate of Central High School and was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Marine Corps Reserves.
