Rita D. Welch

April 2, 1926 – February 5, 1981

Mrs. Rita D. Welch, 54, of 2116 Roger, died at 4am today in St Joseph’s Medical Center after an unexpected illness.

She was born on April 2, 1926, in South Bend, and returned here in 1962.  As Rita Kieloch, she was married on October 11, 1945, in Atmore AL, to Curtis Welch, who survives.  Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Anna Kieloch of South Bend; a daughter, Mrs. Sandra Abel of South Bend; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs Virginia Savko of South Bend.

Services will be at 10am Saturday in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home.  Rev William Hibbert, pastor of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call form 2 to 9pm Friday and form 9 to 10am Saturday in the funeral home.
