Carl A. Weinzetl, 57, of 1002 Diamond Avenue, died at 6:30am today in his home after a brief illness.  He was a Romy Hammes Fordland employee, having worked there 39 years.

Born May 4, 1916, in South Bend, he lived here all his life.  On June 7, 1939, he married Pauline A. Tschida, who survives.  Also surviving are a son, Carl J. of South Bend; a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Buck of South Bend; three grandchildren; a brother, John of South Bend, and three sisters, Mrs. Betty Steinhoffer, Mrs. Julia Reinke and Theresa Weinzetl, all of South Bend.

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm Tuesday and 2 to 9pm Wednesday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home.  Mr. Weinzetl was a member of St. Stephens Society and the Ushers Club of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
