Mary Ann Weinkauf

Mrs. Mary Weinkauf, 84, of 930 E. 4th St., died at 10:45 a.m. Saturday following a heart attack in her home. 

 

She was born Feb 7, 1886 in Bertrand, Mich., and had lived in Mishawaka since 1910, coming from New Carlisle. 

 

She was married in June, 1915, to Fred J. Weinkauf in Mishawaka.  He died in 1954.  She is survived by two sons, Wilfred, of Mishawaka, and Elmer, of South Bend; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Cook, of Orange, Calif.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence Steif, of South Bend, and Walter Steif, of Mishawaka; and four sisters, Mrs. Edward Ganser, and Mrs. Frank Beutter, both of Mishawaka, Mrs. Robert Gooley, of South Bend, and Mrs. Elizabeth Kuhn, of Elkhart. 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home.  Arrangements are incomplete.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Mishawaka, and the rosary society of that church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Weinkauf, 84, of 930 E. 4th St., who died at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Church with Very Rev. Msgr. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, officiating. 

 

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.  The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Homer where friends may call.
