Anna Weis Weinkauf

Mrs. Anna Weis Weinkauf, age 81, died in the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Earl Lee, 118 West Fourth street, Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock after an illness of two years with complications. 

 

She was born in Germany, March 5, 1846, and came here in 1873.  She was married to Andrew Weinkauf, who died in Mishawaka in 1909.  Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Earl, and John and Fred Weinkauf, of this city, and August Weinkauf, of South Bend; also a brother, John Weis, of Mishawaka. 

 

Funeral services will be held from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic church Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock with Very Rev. John C. Keller officiating.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery. 

 

The body may be viewed in the residence.  She was a member of the Rosary society of St. Joseph’s church.

 

Editor: Her cemetery marker reads that she was born in 1848. Her daughter mentioned is actually Mrs. Rose Lee, married to Henry Earl Lee.
