Horace Alton Weddle

MISHAWAKA - Horace A. Weddle, 88, of Parkwood Circle, died at 5 p.m. Saturday in his home after an illness. Mr. Weddle retired as a machinist in the aircraft industry. He was born Dec. 25, 1906, in Porter County, Ind., and lived in the area 70 years.

 

On Dec. 30, 1937, in Kokomo, he married Eleanore Gillen. She died Aug. 12, 1995. He is survived by a daughter, Margaret Faustlin of St. Joseph, Mo.; four sons, George E. of West Lafayette, Ind., J. Richard of Hilo, Hawaii, J. Paul of Salem, Ore., and Thomas P. of South Bend; seven grandchildren; one sister, Bernice McColley of Albuquerque, N.M.; and a brother, Dale V. of South Bend.

 

He was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church and Harvest House of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, South Bend. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the church. Burial was in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. McGann Funeral Home, South Bend, is in charge of arrangements.
