SOUTH BEND - Dale J. Weddle, 90, of Johnson Road, died at 2 a.m. today in his home after an illness. Mr. Weddle was a former employee of Watson Inc. He was born March 5, 1905, in Valparaiso.
On Nov. 25, 1931, in South Bend, he married Mary Ellen Scanlon. She survives with two daughters, Karen Wroblewski and Mary Dale Cebulski, both of South Bend; three sons, Vincent J. of Lima, Ohio, James E. of Annapolis, Md., and Michael J. of Lakeville; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Matthew Cathedral. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the cathedral. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
