Margaret Jean Weaver

SOUTH BEND - Margaret Jean Weaver, 69, had resided in the Ironwood Health Rehabilitation Center. Homegoing was the 21st day of May 2010 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Margaret Jean Weaver was born to Margie and Emmanuel Milligan in Union City, TN, on the 14th day of March 1941. Margaret and Nelson Jerome Weaver Sr. were united in marriage in 1960. To this union four children were born, Nelson, Derrick, Jennell and Dorothy. Margaret was employed at St. Francis Convent, retiring after 15 years. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Margaret will be welcomed home not only by our Heavenly Father, but also by both parents, her grandmother, Selene Wright, great-grandmother, Brenny Childress, brother, Ernest Milligan, and sister, Marion Witherspoon-Carney. Survivors left to cherish her memory are two sons, Nelson (Hazel) Jerome Weaver Jr. and Derrick (Kim) Gene Weaver, both of South Bend; two daughters, Jennell Marie and Dorothy Fay Weaver, both of Lawrenceville, GA; four sisters, Wilma Milligan of Paducah, KY, Lillie (Andrew) Jones of Los Angeles, CA, Lila Johnson of Gardena, CA, and Donna (Albert) Hurturm of Dowagiac, MI; two brothers, Billy Milligan of Dowagiac and Emmanuel (Mae) Joe Milligan Jr. of Niles; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and numerous loved ones and friends who loved her dearly. Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Weaver will be held at noon on Friday, May 28th, in St. Paul Bethel M.B. Church, 621 Lindsey St., South Bend. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
