Virginia G. Uhl

SOUTH BEND - Virginia G. Uhl, 81, of South Bend, Ind., passed away after an illness on Tuesday morning, Feb. 24, in Memorial Hospital.

She was born on April 7, 1916, in Cassopolis, Mich., to Kenneth and Muriel (Cone) Warren.

On Aug. 13, 1933, in South Bend, she married Richard C. Uhl, who preceded her in death in 1990.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry Uhl of Milwaukee, Wis., and Robert Uhl of Bend, Ore.; four grandchildren, Donald Uhl of Bourbon, Ind., Diana Uhl of Trenton, Miss., Dale Uhl of South Bend and Jim Uhl of Rochester, Minn.; and by four great-grandchildren, Scott, Adam, Janelle and Alissa.

Mrs. Uhl for many years belonged to Saint Paul's Memorial United Methodist Church and the Rev. Ron Dixon will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Highland Cemetery.
