Bernice Mable Tschida, 91, of St. Joseph Care Center-West, died on Sunday, in St. Joseph's Medical Center. She worked for many years at the Wilson Brothers Shirt Company. She was born Dec. 30, 1905, in South Bend, Ind.

On March 1, 1930, in South Bend, as Bernice Beck, she married Frank Tschida, who preceded her in death in 1977. She is survived by three sisters-in-law, Agnes Wamser, Helen Tschida and Florence Tschida; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Beck, Edith Clayton and Virginia Hoover; and by a stepsister, Thelma Wolf. Bernice was a member of VASA Lodge 153 and of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Guisinger Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Doctor Timothy Hungler officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Riverview Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
