Anton A. Tschida (July 3, 1901 - Dec. 4, 1996)

Anton A. Tschida, 95, of Cardinal Health & Rehabiliation Center, formerly of Longwood Drive, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, in St. Joseph's Medical Center.

Mr. Tschida was born on July 3, 1901, in South Bend, Ind., and was a lifelong area

resident. On June 20, 1928, in South Bend, he married Edith M. Raloff, who passed away on Sept. 21, 1992.

He is survived by five daughters, Frances Marcin of Lombard, Ill., Barbara Neff, Betty Meiszberg and Margaret Nicholas, all of South Bend, and Annabelle Reinseth of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Fred Tschida of South Bend; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Agnes Wamser of South Bend; and a brother, Henry Tschida of South Bend.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 12:30 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
