Myrtle R. Troeger

Myrtle R. Troeger, 85, of 19527 Darden Road, died about Tuesday in Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal after an illness. Born Sept. 22, 1901 in Marshall County, she was a lifelong area resident.

On Nov. 27, 1929, in South Bend, as Myrtle M. Vining she married John W, Troeger. He died in 1978. Surviving are a daughter, Kathryn L. Smith of Mishawaka; two sons, John H. of Elkhart and

Lawrence R. of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Bowers and Gladys Casner, both of South Bend; and three brothers, Wendall Vining of Jackson, Mich. Glen Vining of South Bend, and William Vining of Etna Green. A daughter, Alice J. Depot died in 1980.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral chapel.
