Mrs. Catherine Trefun

Mrs. Catherine (Kate) Trefun, 69, of 1530 Kemble Ave., died at 9 a.m. Wednesday in her residence. Born Sept. 23, 1893 in Yugoslavia, she came here 54 years ago. She was married to Mark Trefun ay 27, 1908, in St. Louis. He died Aug. 21, 1962. Mrs. Trefun leaves four sons, William, Matthew, Lewis, all of South Bend and Stanley of Bremen; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Obradovich of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Dale Keyser of Bremen; nine grandchildren, on great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. May Viduka of South Bend and Mrs. Paul Koskos of Oregon. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Sts. Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church with Rev. George Vuckovich, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Prayer services will be held at 7:30 p.m. today by Father Vuckovich in the Zahoran Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Gosich, Vladow Drljancic, Michael Medich Jr., Milan Polovina, Walter Medich and Louis Jazich. Mrs. Trefun was a member of the Sisters of Serbian Circle. Friends may call in the funeral home until the time of services.
