Rose L. Totten, 86, South Bend, died Saturday, March 10, 2007.

Born in Bardstown, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Flora and Louis Applegate.

She retired after 21 years of employment with K-Mart and was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Rosary Society in South Bend, where she led the rosary before Mass for many years.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Anna E. Totten, and her six siblings.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Paul A. Totten; two daughters, Pam Sibal of South Bend and Arlene Napper of Niles, Mich.; three sons, Charlie Totten of Michigan City, Sam Totten of LaPorte and Ken Totten of Niles, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Monday, March 12, 5 to 8 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home — Guisinger Chapel in South Bend.

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, March 13, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with interment at Southlawn Cemetery.
