GRANGER - Virginia M. Toth, 88, of Granger, IN, passed away at 10:58 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born on February 27, 1922, to the late Michael and Helen (Pesta) Linkees in South Bend, Indiana, and was a lifelong area resident. Virginia graduated from South Bend Central High School. On May 24, 1941, as Virginia M. Linkees, she married John J. Toth, who preceded her in death on September 13, 2005. She is survived by her nieces, Joan (Ronald) Nowaczynski of South Bend, Indiana, Martha (Alistair) MacCleod of Scottsdale, Arizona, Patty Toth of Louisville, Kentucky, Diane Fink of Louisville, Kentucky, Susan Bailey of St. Paul, Minnesota; nephews, Carl (Susie) Carrico of Niles, Michigan, Bruce Carrico of South Bend, Indiana, Eugene "Nick" (Carolyn) Carrico of South Bend, Indiana; and a cousin, Jane Constantin of Mequon, Wisconsin. Mrs. Toth was a member of St. Pius X Parish, and a former member of St. Stephen Parish. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. today, April 29, 2010, in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana, where a parish vigil service will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 30, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Granger, Indiana, where friends may visit one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
