SOUTH BEND - Rebecca Sue Toth, 60, of Locust Road, South
Bend, passed away at 7 p.m. Saturday, August 30th, in her
residence after an extended illness. Rebecca was born on February
16, 1948, in South Bend, and had resided in the Michiana area her
lifetime. Prior to Rebecca becoming ill, she worked for Kroger
and formerly worked at Briteway Sales in South Bend. She was
preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rachel M. (Lootens)
Toth. She is survived by a sister, Ramona A. Lute of South Bend;
and by three brothers, Frank A. (Carole) Toth and Gerald Toth,
both of South Bend, and Wayne M. (Janet) Toth of Lakeville,
Indiana. Rebecca loved ceramics and gardening, and loved her
pets. She was also an avid pet lover. She was a graduate of the
former Jackson High School, class of 1967.
Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 4, in Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend. Funeral services will take place Friday, Sept. 5, in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friends may call two hours prior to services. Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery. The family request that all memorial contributions be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
