Donald E. Thomas Sr

July 14, 1925 - December 4, 1984

Donald E. Thomas Sr., 59, of 609 Sheridan Avenue, died at 8:34pm Tuesday in Healthwin Hospital.  He was a disabled American veteran. 

Born July 14, 1925, in South Bend, Mr. Thomas was a lifelong area resident.  On July 26, 1947, in South Bend, he married Mary Lekens, who survives.  Also surviving are two daughters, Rose Mary Dooley of Warren MI and Sally Ann Dobrodt of Mishawaka; three sons, Leon, at home, Edward of Mishawaka and Donald E. Jr. of South Bend; ten grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Ann Hooker of South Bend; and three brothers, Leon, Joseph and Louis of South Bend.

Services will be at 1-am Friday in the St Joseph Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.  Friends may call from 6 to 9pm Thursday in the funeral home.  He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WW II.
