Katherine Thallemer

Mishawaka – Failing to recover from a fall last Saturday, Mrs. Katherine Thallemer, age 85, who made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Horning, 510 West Seventh Street, died in St. Joseph Hospital early today.

 

She had been a resident of Mishawaka 46 years, coming here from her birthplace in Baden, Germany.

 

She was born Dec. 25, 1846, and as Miss Katherine Hirt Married Englebart Thallemer in Germany 62 years ago. He died in 1891.

 

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Charles Marsh, and Mrs. Horning, city, Mrs. Mary Kiner, Freeport, Ill, and Miss Katherine Thallemer.

 

Mrs. Thallemer was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Rosary Society. Funeral arrangement will be announced later.

 

Editor: The proper spelling of the name of her husband is Engelbert. The proper spelling of the name of one daughter is Mrs. Mary Keiner.

Last rites for Mrs. Katherine Thallemer, age 85, who died in St. Joseph Hospital Friday morning of injuries sustained from a fall received last Saturday, will be conducted in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church Monday morning at 9 o’clock. Rev M.P. Louen will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The body may be viewed in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Horning, 510 West Seventh Street, from this evening until the hour of the funeral.
