Sister M. Helen Agnes Tesmer, CSC, 83, of Saint Mary's Convent, died at 7:27 p.m. Tuesday in her residence.
Sister M. Helen Agnes was born Dec. 14, 1910, in Paplin, Neb., as Annella Lucy Tesmer.
She entered the Congregation of Sisters of the Holy Cross on June 18, 1931; was received as a novice on Jan. 6, 1932; and professed her final vows on Jan. 6, 1934. She was assigned to the dietary department of convents of Sisters of the Holy Cross in Utah, Idaho, California, and Arizona. She came to Our Lady of Holy Cross Convent in 1973 and was assigned as housekeeper until 1987. She is survived by a sister, Helen Chavey of Kansas.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday in Church of Loretto, Saint Mary's, where a wake will be said at 7 p.m. Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
