John A. Tebo, 94, of 626 N. Scott, died at 1:20 a.m. today in
St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, after a six-month illness. Born
May 22, 1889, in South Bend, he was a life-long area resident. He
married Goldie Matson of South Bend, who died in 1931. In 1941 he
married Mamie Harris, who died in 1972. Survivors include a son,
Russ Tebo of Osceola; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ruby Michels of
Chicago; a stepson, Wilbur Joe Harris of Mesa, Ariz; three
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A son, Robert, died
in 1953.
Friends may call at Warner Funeral Home, Osceola, from 7 to 9
p.m. Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may
be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 6, in South
Bend. Tebo retired from the Northern Indiana Public Service Co.
in 1967, after 41 years of service.
