Sister M. Andrew Taylor CSC, 85, of Saint Mary’s Convent died at 2:10 a.m. Thursday in the convent. She was born Jan. 9, 1907 in LaPorte, as Catherine Anne Taylor. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, at St. Mary’s on Jan. 9, 1927 coming from LaPorte. She was received as a novice Aug. 15, 1927 and professed her final vows Aug. 15, 1929.She taught in elementary and secondary schools, including Holy Cross School and St. Joseph High School in South Bend; St. Vincent’s School in Elkhart; St. Mary’s School, Michigan City; and schools in Hammond and east Chicago; and Illinois, Michigan, California and Idaho. She retired to the convent in 1979.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Loretto with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, St. Mary’s. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday in the Convent Parlors, where a wake will be at 7 p.m.
