MISHAWAKA - Jeanette B. Taylor, 81,
of East Third Street, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital
of natural causes. Mrs. Taylor retired in 1977 as a registered
nurse at Wheelabrator-Frye Corp. after 18 years of service and
was formerly employed by St. Joseph Hospital for 25 years in the
emergency room. She was born March 31, 1912, in South Bend, and
was a lifelong area resident.
On Nov. 24, 1940, in Mishawaka, as Jeanette
B. Hofmann, she married Elroy C. Taylor Sr. He survives,
with three sons, James A. and William L., both of South Bend, and
Bud C. of Mishawaka; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren;
a sister, Eilen Hofmann of South Bend; and a brother, William T.
Hofmann Jr. of Granger. She was a member of First Apostolic
Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Bubb
Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in
Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m.
Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made
to the church.
