Martin Tavernier

Martin Tavernier of South Bend, formerly of Ptairie Street Routh, south of Elkhart, died Thursday evening in St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka, where he had been for a week due to dropsy and heart trouble. He was born in 1856, north of Mishawaka. He lived on the Prairie Street Road for a number of years, moving away about eight years ago to Mishawaka. Recently he lived in South Bend with a brother. He is survived by his daughter; four grandchildren; and two brothers and sisters of Mishawaka and South Bend.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Deo Curtis, 1106 Edwardsburg Road, Elkhart. The Rev J. B. Brosy of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate. The burial will take place at the Prairie Street Cemetery.
