George W. Tavernier

MISHAWAKA - George W. Tavernier, who was
born in Elkhart 68 years ago last Oct. 9th, died early
this morning at his home in Mishawaka, 401 Fairmont Avenue. He
had been ill for only a short time. His wife Emily Chause
Tavernier, whom he married in South Bend in 1895, died five years
ago. Surviving him are; three sons, George of South Bend, Albert
of Mishawaka, and Otto of Granger; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Barbee
of Mishawaka; a breother, Henry of South Bend; and a sister, Mrs.
Herman Kreinke,
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in
St. Monica’s Catholic Church, and burial will be in St.
Joseph Cemetery in Mishawaka.
