George Talos Sr.

George Talos Sr., 70, of Ashland Avenue, passed away at 11:57 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Talos retired from Tisza Industries where he had been employed for over 35 years. He was born on Feb. 14, 1932, in Rabatamsi, Hungary, to Steve and Mary Talos. George was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Margaret Gall; and by two brothers, John Talos and Steve Talos. George moved to South Bend, Ind., in 1959, and was married on June 18, 1960, in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church to the former Aranka Kalmar, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Monica (Tim) Pilarski of Rolling Prairie, Ind., and Erika (Glenn) Kozora of South Bend; two sons, George (Jo Ellen) Talos Jr. of Osceola, Ind., and Steve (Michele) Talos of South Bend; nine grandchildren, David, Cindy, Aaron, Brooke, Blake, Morgan, Mason, Nolan and Benjamin; and by a great-grandchild, Seth.
