MISHAWAKA -- Jean Ann Talbot, 61, of East Seventh Street, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday (June 8, 2004) in the emergency room at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, after an illness.

She was born July 20, 1932, to John and Jean (Airheart) Zeitler in South Bend. She married Michael J. Talbot on May 2, 1959, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in South Bend.

 

He survives, along with her mother, Jean Van Velleghem of South Bend; two daughters, Michele (Frank) Squadroni of Granger and Kathy Carlson of Homes Beach, Fla.; three sons, Michael (Jackie) Talbot of Osceola, Joseph (Jackie) Talbot of South Bend and Christopher Talbot of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and her mother-in-law, Dorothy Talbot, and sister-in-law, Judy O'Bryant, both of New Port Richey, Fla. She was preceded in death by her father and her twin sister, Joyce McDowell.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. Eighth St., Mishawaka, where services will be at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Robert Yast of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka will officiate.

 

Mrs. Talbot was a homemaker most of her life, but for the past 10 years she worked in the payables department of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Memorials may be sent in her name in lieu of flowers to Riley Hospital for Children, 50 S. Meridian St., Suite 500, Indianapolis, IN 46204.

Jean Ann Talbot, 61, of East Seventh Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, in the emergency room at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

Jean was born July 20, 1942, in South Bend, Ind., as the daughter of John and Jean (Erhardt) Zeitler.

As the former Jean Ann Zeitler, she married Michael J. Talbot on May 2, 1959, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend. Michael survives along with two daughters, Michele (Frank) Squadroni of Granger, Ind., and Kathy Carlson of Holmes Beach, Fla.; three sons, Michael (Jackie) Talbot of Osceola, Ind., Joseph (Jackie) Talbot of South Bend and Christopher Talbot, also of South Bend; 11 grandchildren, Tony, Bryce, Christopher Jr., Camron, Diante, Ricky, Brian, Ashley, Ryan, Ted and Krystin; and a great-grandson, Jacob. Jean is also survived by her mother, Jean Van Velleghem of South Bend; and by her mother-in-law, Dorothy Talbot, and sister-in-law, Judy O'Bryant, both of New Port Richey, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her father, John, and by her twin sister, Joyce McDowell.

Jean was a homemaker most of her life, but she most recently worked in the accounts payable department of the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, for the past 10 years.

Friends may call today, June 10, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Robert Yast of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Jean's name be made to Riley Children's' Hospital Cancer Unit in honor of Krystin Carlson, 50 S. Meridian St., Suite 500, Indianapolis, IN 46204-3540.
