Antonio Tagliaferri

MISHAWAKA – Antonio Tagliaferri, 80, of 824 Alabama, died today at 5 a.m. in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend, after an extended illness. He was born in Alatri, Italy on Jan. 17, 1897 and moved her in 1920. He retired from Studebaker Corporation in 1959.

 

On Nov. 11, 1922 in Elkhart, he married Sistine Cittadine, who survives. Also durviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Houghton of Mishawaka; two sons Harry and Joseph J. both of Mishawaka; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. Mr. Tagliaferri was a member of St. Bavo’s Catholic Church and the DeAmicis Club. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Joseph County Cancer Society. Flowers will also be acceptable.

Servives for Antonio Tagliaferri, 80, of 824 Alabama, will be at 10a.m. Friday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Rev. Stephen Cvaniga, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home.
