SOUTH BEND - Services for Dorothy F. Southwood, 84, of 522 33rd St., who died at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Mrs. Southwood retired in 1973 from Uniroyal Plastics Co. after 40 years of service. She was born April 23, 1911, in Toledo, Ohio, and lived in South Bend most of her life.
On April 19, 1947, in South Bend, she married Earl E. Southwood. He survives with two sons, Forrest G. Smith of Elkhart and Wayne A. Southwood of South Bend; five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. A grandchild preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Anthony de Pauda Catholic Church.
