SOUTH BEND - Robert E. Sorgenfrei, 74, passed away at 11
p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, in Hospice House. Robert was born on
Jan. 29, 1933, in Harvey, IL, to the late Carl and Elsie (Hilt)
Sorgenfrei. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother,
Maxine.
On July 3, 1953, in Koontz Lake, Robert
married Faith Harman. She survives along with their
children, Kathy Tylavsky and Mark Sorgenfrei; two
grandsons, Anthony and James Tylavsky; and a great-granddaughter,
Brianna Tylavsky, all of South Bend. Robert worked for Bendix,
retiring after 33 years. He enjoyed going to the South Bend Motor
Speedway for many years and was a Chicago Bears fan.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec.
5, in Oak Tree Community Church, South Bend. St. Joseph Funeral
Home is handling arrangements.
