Miss Minnie
Sommerer, 89, of 415 S. Parry St., died at 10:30am Monday in the Cardinal
Convalescent Center after an illness of several weeks.
She was born January
11, 1877, in South Bend. She was one of the operators of
Sommerer’s Grocery, Hill St. and Colfax Ave., for many
years. She is survived by several cousins.
Friends may call
after 7pm Wednesday in the Orvis Funeral Home. Services
will be at 1:30pm Thursday in Zion United Church of Christ.
Rev. Edward W. Brueseke, pastor, will officiate. Burial
will be in Riverview Cemetery.
