Eleanor P. Solmos, 97, of State Road 4, North Liberty, Ind., died at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 25, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind.

She was born on Jan. 8, 1902, in South Bend, and she was a lifelong area resident. She was married on April 18, 1920, in South Bend, as Eleanor P. Paszkiet, to Steve A. Solmos, Sr., who died on Nov. 30, 1973. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Davis; two sons, Steve Solmos, Jr., and Robert Solmos; a grandson; two great-granddaughters; and by a sister, Helen Walesiewicz.

Mrs. Solmos is survived by two sons, James J. Solmos of North Liberty, with whom she resided, and Richard Solmos of South Bend; a daughter, Helen Hay of North Liberty; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, with burial to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
