Rose Theresa Snyder

Rose Theresa Snyder of 53040 Ba-J-Er Lane, South Bend, Ind., died on Tuesday, Aug. 24, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Mrs. Snyder was born in South Bend to Istvan and Rose Bella. She was a lifelong area resident.

 

On June 27, 1942, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend, she married John J. Snyder. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1989. Mrs. Snyder is survived by two sons, Michael Snyder of South Bend and James (Paulette) Snyder of South Bend; a sister, Betty (Toth) Vigneault of South Bend; two grandchildren, Courtney and Zachary Snyder; and by several nieces and nephews.

 

Mrs. Snyder was a homemaker who devoted her life to her family. She deeply loved her grandchildren. She was renowned for her Hungarian cooking and baking, and for her chocolate chip cookies.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, in Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment services will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 North Bendix Drive, South Bend.
