Marjorie Jean Snyder

Marjorie Jean Snyder, 65, of Kenilworth Road, Lakeville, Ind., passed away at 9:34 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. She was born on May 31, 1939, in South Bend, Ind., to Charles and Ruth (Rightley) LeClercq.

 

On May 24, 1958, in Lakeville, she married Alvin J. Snyder, who survives. Mrs. Snyder is survived by her husband of 46 years, Alvin; two daughters, Sherry Phillips of Lakeville and Michele Snyder of Lakeville; two sons, Timothy Snyder of Fort Wayne and Brian (Debbie) Snyder of Lakeville; four granddaughters, Amber Emerick of Gilbert, Ariz., Telisa Lane of Knoxville, Tenn., Kaitlyn Phillips of Lakeville and Ashley Phillips of Lakeville; two sisters, Marilyn (Larry) Birk of Columbia City, Ind., and Margaret LeClercq of Lakeville; and one brother, Gerald (Wilma) LeClercq of Lakeville. Many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews also survive her. Her parents and a brother, Charles LeClercq, preceded her in death.

 

Mrs. Snyder was a lifelong area resident. She retired in 1979 from Miller Paint Company, South Bend, where she was employed as a bookkeeper. She graduated from Lakeville High School and loved to work word search books. Mrs. Snyder was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, watching the games with her granddaughter.

 

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 11, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville, 314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville. Rev. Steve Cox will officiate. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 10, in the funeral home.
