SOUTH BEND - Clarence E. ''Doc'' Snyder, 83, of Miller's Merry Manor, Portage, formerly of Tonti Street, died at 5:40 a.m. today in Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso. Mr. Snyder had worked in quality control at Electro Voice, Buchanan, for 19 years, retiring in 1973. He was born Dec. 10, 1910, in Battle Creek, Mich.
On June 21, 1941, in St. Joseph, he married Dorothy E. Malmborg. She died in 1982. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Margaret ''Mimi'' Moore of Portage, Sue Ann Smith of Delphi, Ind., and Jean Elizabeth Mazakis of Fort Wayne; and seven grandchildren. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Gideon's International and a former member of the Studebaker Male Chorus.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon's or the church.
