SOUTH BEND - Alta M. Snyder, 96, of 25th Street, died at 3:48 p.m. Saturday in Regency Place Nursing Home. Mrs. Snyder retired in 1962 from H.D. Lee Co. She was born Feb. 2, 1899, in Buchanan, and lived here since 1920, coming from Buchanan.
On March 27, 1926, in South Bend, as Alta M. Swartz, she married Orville M. Snyder. He died Dec. 11, 1982. Surviving are a sister, Pearl Fuller of South Bend; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of River Park Church of Christ.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Association.
