Mrs. Ida Smith

     Services for Mrs. Ida Smith, 83, formerly of 1608  Leer St. who died at
11 p.m. Monday in the Berinstein Jewish Home for the Aged,  Indianapolis, were
to be held at 4 p.m. today in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home,  Rabbi Maurice
Parzen of Sinai Synagogue officiating. Burial were to be in Hebrew  Orthodox
Cemetery of Mishawaka. Mrs. Smith was born in Lithuania on Jan. 10,  1882, and
been ill for several months. Her husband, David O. Smith, died on July  2,
1948. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Berebitshy, of South Bend;  two
sons, Irving J. Smith South Bend attorney, and Melvin Smith of Indianapolis; 
five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Albon, of Dallas, Texas.
