Clement Nicolas Slisz 73, of 440 Chicago St. died at 4:00
p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He
retired from Bendix Corporation. He was born on December 4, 1906 in South Bend
and lived here all his life. On June 1, 1925, in South Bend , he married
Gertrude Kubiak. She survives with two daughters, Mrs. Eugenia Mazurkiewicz
of Mishawaka and Mrs. Elaine DeCook of South Bend; two sons Daniel
and Melvin both of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; five great grand children;
four sisters Mrs. Henrietta
Novinich, Mrs. Evelyn Piechorowski, Mrs. Elsie Maeyens, and Mrs Phyllis
Biritz and a brother Fred Slisz of South Bend.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Church,
Rev Daniel Durkin will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the St.
Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Clem was a member of the Bendix Retirees Club.
