C. W.  SLICK DIES; ILL FOR MONTHS
Laundry Manager, Aged 56, Spent Entire Life in South Bend.
  Charles W. Slick, aged 56, treasurer and general manager of Slick's Laundry & Dry Cleaning company, with establishments in South Bend and Gary, Ind., died in his home 984 Riverside drive at 12:45 o'clock this morning. His death followed a seven-month illness.
  Mr. Slick was born in South Bend June 14, 1877 and spent his entire life here. He was married here in 1902 to Miss Mary Agnes Kline, who survies him. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Byrne and Miss Ann Slick, both of this city; a granddaughter, Miss Mary Ann Byrne; a sister, Mrs. E. W. Dunkle, and five brothers. W. A. Slick, Samuel Slick, United States District Judge T. W. Slick and Edmund Slick, all of this city, and John Slick, of Fort Wayne, Ind.
  Mr. Slick was a 32d degree mason, a member of South Bend lodge No. 294, F. & A. M. and of the Scottish Rite; he was a member of Crusade lodge No. 14, Knights of Pythias, of the South Bend Chamber of Commerce and the South Bend Country club.  He was a member also of the First Methodist Episcopal church.
