MISHAWAKA - Phoebe Ann Sirlin, 92, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at St. Anne Home in Fort Wayne. Born in Logansport, she was a homemaker, past president of the St. Joseph Hospital (Mishawaka) Auxiliary, a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Tri Kappa Society, Junior League, Delta Delta Delta Sorority, was president of St. Joseph County Medical Auxiliary in 1958 and was a Children's Home of Mishawaka board member. She completed her B.S. in both nursing and education at I.U.

 

Survivors include a daughter, May Elisabeth Maschino of Indianapolis; a son, David E. Sirlin of Redmond, WA; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Michael Fansler of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Sirlin, M.D., in 1999.

 

Memorial service is 1 p.m. Saturday in the D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, with calling one hour prior. Memorials to St. Anne Home.

 

She lived in Mishawaka IN from 1933 to 1964.
