Julia ''Aunt Judy'' (Tirotta) Sinkovics, 74, of Parkview Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 8:57 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

 

Judy was born in South Bend on April 2, 1924, to the late Lena Perry Tirotta. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey in 1953 and Timothy in 1958; two sisters, Therese C. McKamey and Mary Spencer; and by two brothers, Perry Tirotta and Michael Tirotta.

 

On Sept. 12, 1942, she married William J. Sinkovics in South Bend. He survives.

 

She is also survived by a daughter, Judith Ann Chrobot, and a son, William J. Sinkovics, Jr., both of Mishawaka, Ind.; six grandchildren, Miranda A. Sinkovics, Jake W. Sinkovics, Luke J. Sinkovics, Timothy D. Willis, Jeffrey A. Willis and Olivia M. Chrobot, all of Mishawaka; six sisters, Rose J. Ratkay of Niles, Mich., Kathryn P. Everly of South Bend, Angela J. Marlin of Niles, Barbara L. Crow of Niles, Sandra Tirotta Chabera of South Bend and Edith I. Lansford of Mishawaka; and by three brothers, Paul R. Tirotta, Joseph D. Tirotta and Frank P. Tirotta, all of South Bend.

 

Judy retired from her owned and operated business, Judy Ann Draperies of Niles, in 1997 after 25 years in business. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, South Bend.

 

Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka. A Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North.

 

The funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. today in Christ the King Catholic Church, with Father Robert Epping officiating. The burial will take place in Highland Cemetery, South Bend. (nf)
