Rosetta Singler

SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Rosetta Singler, 94, formerly of 3428 Brookhurst Place, South Bend, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the St. Francis Nursing Home, San Antonio, Texas, after an illness.

She was born in Brook, Ind., to John and Clara (Weishaar) Lebold.

On June 21, 1924, in Chicago, Ill., she maried Valentine A. Singler, who preceded her in death on July 1, 1985. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Carey of Nutley, N.J.

Mrs. Singler was loved and will be missed by her three daughters: Theresa Rouguex of Clearfield, Pa., Marjorie Hollinshead of San Antonio, Texas, and Mary Keever of Denver, Colo.; one son, Edmund L. Singler of Newburgh, Ind.; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Cybella Stone of Sturgis, Mich.

Services were at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend. Entombment followed at Riverview Mausoleum.

Calling was from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the McGann Funeral Home, University Area Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Road, where a wake service was held at 4 p.m.

She was a member of St. Joseph parish.
