MISHAWAKA - Charles W. Simpson, 71,
of Russell Street, died at 3 p.m. Monday in his home after an
illness. Mr. Simpson was a self-employed plastering contractor
and retired in 1985 from South Bend Form Tool Co. He was born May
7, 1923, in LaGrange County, and lived in Mishawaka most of his
life.
On July 19, 1975, in Mishawaka, he married
Katherine B. Freels. She died March 23, 1991. He is
survived by a son, Wallace D. of Mishawaka; a stepson, Kenneth C.
Freels of Bremen; two step-grandchildren; two
step-great-grandchildren; his mother, Belle Simpson of
Kalamazoo, formerly of Mishawaka; a sister, Zephine S. Culp
of Kalamazoo; and a brother, Philip L. of Hobe Sound, Fla. He was
a veteran of World War II.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
