SOUTH BEND - Margaret J. Siler, 91, of Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center, Granger, formerly of South 35th Street, died at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday in the nursing home. Mrs. Siler was born Jan. 6, 1903, in Peru, Ind., and lived in South Bend since 1942, coming from Sharpsville, Ind.

On Aug. 10, 1919, in Sharpsville, as Margaret J. Doolittle, she married Lionel A. Siler. He died March 8, 1988. She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Jo Preston of Mishawaka; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A son, Robert J., died Feb. 19, 1979.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
