Lawrence Virgil Shriver, 78, of Auten Road, South Bend, Ind., died on Wednesday morning, Nov. 8, in his home. Lawrence retired in February 1983 from I&M Electric as a foreman for 35 years. He was born on Oct. 25, 1922, in South Bend, to Guy O. and Eva (Redman) Shriver, who preceded him in death. On May 21, 1949, in South Bend, he married Mary Jane Cauffman, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Alexis Buckley of Granger, Ind., and Colleen Rivera of Spartanburg, S.C.; three sons, Barry, Dana and Eric Shriver, all of South Bend; seven grandchildren, Meghann, Molly and Bryan Buckley, Shannon, Dustin, Brandon and Braelyn Shriver; and by a brother, Jack Shriver of South Bend.
